I didn’t write about Microsoft sporting a new logo when I noticed a few days back because to me that’s not newsworthy. However, Microsoft, it appears, has undergone more than just a face lift sporting a new logo! On a side note, what an ugly logo. Not sure who designed this but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen much better work at stock logo galleries. In the past couple years Microsoft has launched some truly beautiful websites, but this is a joke.

Now, if you’ve worked with me in the past you know my thoughts on adCenter; it’s by far the forerunner in PPC features – neither Google’s adwords nor Yahoo! Search Marketing platform come close. Unfortunately, with such a small market share it can’t make much of an impact. This I’m sure was one of the reasons Microsoft bid to buy Yahoo!, Microsoft needs users not technology but that’s a post for a different day.

Faster reviews about why ads or keywords were disapproved and the ability to pause geo-targeting and ads/keywords at the ad page level, are just a few of the new features.

The problem is – there isn’t any real lack of features at the moment…it’s lack of users that’s the issue. Focus on that, and Google will finally have a fire lit under it.
